Isyu at Punto is a Philippine news and public service radio program presented by Dennis Barrios (who started as a media practitioner in 1989) and Jack Roman (a researcher by profession). It airs every Saturday on radio station DWBL. ==History== Dennis Barrios (who started as Media practitioner in 1989) and Jack Roman (a researcher by profession) organized the radio program with a format of news and information / public service on 16 January 2009. In February 2009, Jimmy De Venecia was invited to join followed by Pete Gomez and Allen Aguirre. The Radio program was initially entitled "PUNTO at ISYU" and was scheduled for airing on 9 April 2009 at DWSS 1494 kHz. AM. On March 26, 2009, Dennis Barrios located Joy Navarro at the Liga ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (LBP) office and was invited to join and anchor the radio program (as Joy was the first choice but was the last to be located). During the meeting regarding airing preparations, Rolly "Lakay" Gonzalo of DWIZ 882 kHz / UNTV and President of Liga ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas suggested that the title be changed from ''PUNTO at ISYU'' to ''ISYU at PUNTO''. This was seconded by Gani Oro of "Aksyon Oro Mismo" radio program over Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Business Manager of LBP who also provided valuable advices on other matters regarding "ISYU at PUNTO". By March 27, 2009, "ISYU at PUNTO" finalized its contract with radio station DWSS 1494 kHz. through Elsa Dioneda, account manager of FBS Radio Network Inc. / Supreme Broadcasting System Inc. The intro/extro and Station identification / stinger were voiced-over by Oscar Cruz of UNTV. "ISYU at PUNTO" aired its first maiden broadcast on April 4, 2009 Saturday, anchored by Joy Navarro, co-anchored by Dennis Barrios and Ante Pagulayan on the technical side, with Jimmy, Pete and Allen as reporters. In February 2010, changes were effected by the Program Producer and News Director. "ISYU at PUNTO" transferred from DWSS 1494 kHz. to competitor DWBL 1242 kHz.
